Things I’ve kept since the 1980s.

The following items I have kept since 1980s living in Los Angeles: gift boxes from Joseph Magnin, I Magnin & Robinson’s, store bags from Heaven, Fiorucci, Judy’s, & Contempo Casuals & Music Plus,  guides from the Z Channel & ON TV, mugs from Moustache Cafe and Camp Beverly Hills, greeting cards from Paper Moon Graphics, matchbooks & menus from various eateries such as Ed Debevic’s and Cafe Figaro, pins from Famous Amos, Peaches Records, and Wonderbread, ashtrays from Nicky Blair’s & Ma Maison, magazines such as WET & Dynamite, Mork & Mindy dolls, an original Patrick Nagel poster, a Keith Haring radio, and keychains from Tower Records are just SOME of the LA pop culture memorabilia seen in the following photos. Also pieces of clothing and jewelry from HEAVEN, Camp Beverly Hills, Ylang Ylang, & Fiourucci. And of course I kept all my new wave sunglasses, my Stephen Sprouse punk spandex pants, and my two telephones! And all THAT doesn’t even begin to unpack it all…

What brings back the most memories?

I still have this denim vest I wore in the 7th grade. Most of those pins came from POSTERMAT in Westwood. I went every weekend to get a new pin 📍

I still have my telephones from the early 80s. Could never part with them. Still have the same number too.
